Game, set and a perfect match for Mrs B and her Corinium carer
Having full-time care is often a necessity to allow a loved one to continue living independently at home. But for Mrs B it also provided the support that she needed to grieve and cope with life without her beloved husband.
Mrs B not only missed the help that her husband had given her over the years, but more importantly, the companionship he had also provided.
Amanda, a Corinium live-in carer, started shortly after the loss of Mrs B’s husband to help ease the burden. Amanda not only helps Mrs B with daily essentials like dressing and supporting her move around her home with her frame, but also shares the love of watching sporting events on tv. They have particularly enjoyed watching the tennis together this year.
Mrs B really enjoys Amanda’s company, the security and peace of mind she provides.
“I am always interested in hearing about the short walks that Amanda takes during her breaks and the animals she has seen. It is great to have someone to watch the news with and discuss current affairs. Having a live-in carer like Amanda makes me feel safe too”.
Amanda loves to cook, and Mrs B thoroughly enjoys the homemade soups and having fresh home cooked food that she otherwise wouldn’t have.
